RIYBA is the governing body of RI Travel basketball. We are made up of over 30 associations throughout the state.  We provide league games, tournament play, and state playoffs for boys and girls in grades 3-8.  We are not an AAU program.  We are a collection of town all-star or travel teams in which the town that you live in,  is the town that you play for.

Most grade-levels have multiple divisions of play.  Each local association chooses what division each grade-level team will play. Most teams play a 10-12 game season along with 3-4 tournaments.  Playoffs usually begin the first weekend in March and usually conclude by the second weekend.

Please remember - we are not an AAU program.  The teams that play in RIYBA are travel teams which is very different than AAU. Travel teams are made up from local house-league recreation programs. If you desire a greater level of competition, local AAU teams run their programs in the spring and fall.
